Read all of Robert Stacy McCain's column yesterday on the SPLC's "there's hate everywhere" screeching.
Pay special attention to the embedded links in McCain's piece.
Funny thing, though -- when the organizers of the upcoming armed Restore the Constitution event this April 19th contacted the SPLC last month, they declined to do anything more than "pass the information on to their intelligence center".
You'd think they would have added the event to their squealing.
Inept, immoral, and dishonest is no way to go through life, son.
See all of you on the Potomac this April 19th -- either armed or unarmed.
i'm going armed.
ReplyDeletewho's going unarmed? is a massachusetts yankee going to show the rest of you fellas up? come on, now.
And uh...armed of course. WTF?!
ReplyDeleteAnybody going please be reminded that your permit to carry may not be legal in Md or Va or even enroute to get there. You can bet some jackass will decide that a seatbelt check by troopers may be necessary that day just to try to throw a wrench in the works.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a bad idea. Why bring guns? It only takes one idiot with a loaded gun to have a negligent discharge (it happens...too often) and then the left wing nuts will make a big deal of it on the media. The risk here outweighs the reward.
ReplyDeleteRich
Rich,
ReplyDeleteShall we constrain ourselves to only those actions which are unlikely to meet with MSM disapproval?
A sporting idea, old chap, but the days of worrying about MSM opinion ended 40 years ago.
Guns are necessary (but not sufficient) to distinguish a citizen from a serf. Guns are necessary because we're in a cold war with warm weather fast approaching. Guns are necessary because there's no sense in being another Bonus Army.

so, rich, does that include the police that will be there, armed, protecting us?
ReplyDeletedon't think too fast. your brain might just "go off" by itself.
Not sure I understand Jon...
ReplyDeleteI think MOST law enforcement are good citzens and many of them feel the way we do regarding 2nd Ammend rights. Depends what state your in I guess.
All I was trying to say was that I believe we're finally starting to make progess at a Federal level(Heller v DC, no reinstating AWB).
MSM can be influential to a certain portion of the population...don't give them anything to spin.
On a side note, the real crisis here is the gov't takeover of our banks and private property. It's a 'watch the right hand while the left hand is robbing the American people blind'.
Rich
Rich:
ReplyDeleteHave you actually read the Heller decision, side by side with the text of the Second Amendment?
If you have, I don't see how you could say that Heller represents progress.
And just wait for the Chicago decision. You'll see another pile of made-up steaming poo about "balancing", "reasonable restrictions", and "appropriate exceptions".
Don't believe the hype, Rich.
Read the decisions yourself.
Compare the language to the the Second Amendment.
That's the actual rule, not some vomit spewed by lawyers in funny dresses.
Well... no, I have not read the entire decision, just the 'cliff notes'.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the homework assignment.
