UPDATE 1026 EDT 14 APRIL 2010: Please read this post on the rules of (non)engagement for our event. Hope to see you there!
UPDATE 0100 EDT 30 MAR 2010: The USPS permit is in hand and has been reviewed by our attorney, and everything (including the rules of (non)engagement below) is 'go'! Details here.
The latest on the April 19th "Restore The Constitution" rally on the Potomac:
As it stands now, [the above] is how I plan on attending the Restore the Constitution rally on 4-19 at Ft. Hunt and Gravelly Parks.
Pistol loaded, openly carried. Rifle unloaded, slung to rear. Bandoleer of magazines containing ammo. All in accordance with rules below. Please note that guidelines below are subject to final coordination with the Department of the Interior:
Participants and attendees are expected to know and abide by all applicable state and federal firearms laws. None of the information provided below is legal advice, and no attorney-client relationship is created by reading or relying upon this information. If you have questions, then you are expected to know the applicable state and federal firearms laws before attending the event.
Anyone prohibited from possessing a firearm by state or federal law may not possess a firearm at this event.
Participants and attendees may not bring any firearm prohibited by state or federal law.
1. ALL rifles and shotguns carried by participants at this event are to be unloaded (chamber empty, no magazine inserted, no ammo inside the rifle or shotgun, no ammo touching the rifle or shotgun whatsoever) and slung to the rear or to the side, away from the hands.
Although the law does allow for carry of some types of loaded rifles and some types of shotguns in some circumstances, our guidelines are simpler and more strict due to the relative novelty of this event and the high level of attention it is likely to receive from law enforcement, government, and the media.
2. While we do ask that your rifles and shotguns be unloaded, you are perfectly welcome to carry ammunition and loaded magazines on your person if you so choose, so long as no magazines are actually inserted into rifles and so long as you are not prohibited from owning a firearm.
3. Open carry of a loaded pistol is allowed.
Concealed carry of a pistol is allowed for those with a valid Virginia concealed handgun permit or a concealed handgun permit from a state for which Virginia allows concealed carry in Virginia (See the Virginia State Police’s website for a list of those states; we do not vouch for the authenticity or accuracy of that list).
Anyone carrying their pistol openly or concealed cannot have in it a magazine capable of holding over 20 rounds and cannot have a pistol designed to accept a silencer or suppressor.
Participants and attendees are required to keep all pistols holstered. Participants and attendees are required to keep all rifles/shotguns slung over their shoulder, muzzle-down, unloaded, with the safety on, and with no magazine inserted. Brandishing of firearms is prohibited by Virginia law. Under Virginia Code Section 18.2-282, it is unlawful for any person to (a) point, hold, or brandish any firearm in such a manner as to reasonably induce fear in the mind of another or (b) hold a firearm in a public place in such a manner as to reasonably induce fear in the mind of another being shot or injured. Do not engage in any horseplay, demonstration of firing positions, or exchange of or other handling of firearms at Fort Hunt, Gravelly Park, or any other location or vehicle of transportation associated with this event.
By federal law, firearms are prohibited in federal facilities (defined by federal law as a building or part thereof owned or leased by the federal government, where federal employees are regularly present for the purpose of performing their official duties).
Do not transport a loaded rifle or shotgun in any vehicle on any public street, road, or highway during this event.
Participants and attendees are not to consume, possess, or be under the influence of alcohol or illegal substances at this event.
Again, these guidelines are, as of now, subject to final coordination with the Department of the Interior.
More info asap.
Spread the word!
I haven't decided to attend this rally, but already it's weighing in as a nullity for me.
ReplyDeleteFirst, I'm not going to ask permission from a foreign government what can and cannot be done on a friendly state's land. I do not recognize US government possession of the land.
Second, if I were to attend, my rifle will be loaded and slung in front for ready use, I'll have a combat load of ammo, chemical protective mask, and likely a armored vest.
Somebody needs to get a grip on what this rally is all about, it ain't to ask permission.
Pat:
ReplyDeleteI appreciate and respect that there will be different points of view on this caper.
Notwithstanding your objections, can we count on you to help spread word of the event far and wide?
I've already performed that task, posting it in several fora. Everyone must decide for themselves whether or not to attend and how they'll be equipped when they attend.
ReplyDeleteWhile this whole event should be on the mall in the District, I knew that wasn't going to happen.
Yet.
Thanks Pat!
ReplyDeleteMike Vanderbeough insists that we not create "Fort Sumpters" and that "they" fire first.
ReplyDeleteYou are giving "them" a great opportunity to do just that.
Good luck and more power to you but I think I'd rather be around for the "100 Heads" phase. 100 times the number of those killed or imprisoned at your rally.
But suppose "they" just ignore you? You know the media will slant and smear whatever coverage they give you... So, what good will it do?
Unless at least a million of us show up, it will have no effect at all. Even if such numbers are achieved, which I strongly doubt, all that will be accomplished is to drive the usurpers to greater levels of oppression. And they are masters of framing the "debate" in ways favorable to themselves and in demonizing the opposition... us.
And the sheep will graze away....
This may raise awareness and bring more folks to our side but that is the only benefit I foresee.
At the original Tea Party, didn't they actually throw some tea and stuff?
ReplyDeleteIn spirit if I cannot get it together to go, and if I can with Grandpa's rifle and my G17 strapped. Either way I did my part to spread the word . . .
ReplyDeleteOnce upon a time, there was a man who came home from work one day to discover all of his possessions had been stolen, his family murdered and his home burned to the ground.
ReplyDeletePeople in his neighborhood who had witnessed the crime gave him a very clear description of the the man who had done this evil deed.
So the man set out to find the evil-doer. He searched high and low and eventually he found a man who fit the description that his neighbors had given him.
He approached the man who he suspected of doing this evil act and said: "Are you the man who stole all my stuff, murdered my family and set my house on fire?"
The man replied: "yeah. So what if I am?"
The man then asked: "Why would you do such an evil thing?"
To which the evil doer said: "Because I felt like it."
The man responded: "Well, you just better watch it. That was not very nice." ...and turned and walked away.
Pray to whatever/whomever G-D you call your own, that it does start on April 19th 2010.
ReplyDeleteI rather that, even with my rifle slung peacefully, then in the middle of the night with my wife and children home.
The fact of the matter, is the ninjas are chicken shit, and will not start it with a bunch of ready and armed Citizens, they will wait until you are in church, at work or sleeping.
Pray it starts at the rally, and being sporting we will give them the first volley. After that they get no quarter.
If it is to happen, let it be today, while I'm young enough to be useful, and to spare our children doing, what we should have.
I agree with Pat H. Attending this rally with an empty weapon proves to the enemies of freedom that our side is afraid and that we will not fight back.
ReplyDeleteSo, after you show up with empty weapons and are told by the police to surrender these weapons just what do you plan on doing then??? Since the police WILL have loaded weapons you might as well turn over those expensive rifles over to them and go back home!!!!!
This is a pointless demonstration. What do you hope to achieve????? Unloaded weapons are no deterent to tyrants!!! Unloaded weapons sends the wrong message to America. I'm thankful that the Patriots didn't show up on April 19,1775 with unloaded weapons.
Either stand up and make the statement that needs to be made and be willing to die in doing so or stay the hell home!!!!!

I've been wavering on this.
ReplyDeleteReading these rules and thinking of standing there with my new to me Garand and a bando of loaded en blocs has me considering going again.
After reading some of these comments I anxiously scanned my news sources for the reports of REAL patriots taking REAL action.
ReplyDeleteThere weren't any.
Put up or shut up, cowards.
I fully understand where Pat H. is coming from. What we desire and the reality of the situation are often two different things. The gov't is looking for an excuse to take action.
ReplyDeleteGo form up at the mall in D.C. and see what happens. Who will you be facing? Federal cops? Maybe the National Guard? How about the Regular Army? The soldiers will be told they are dealing with an armed mob of extremists trying to stage a coup. No doubt an agent provocateur will fire a shot.
Take it one step at a time.
So this is the same day as the Second Amendment March IN Washington DC.
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be better to have a bigger showing of people IN Washington DC, rather than two smaller groups (one inside DC and disarmed, the other on the Potomac and packing?
Good luck to you all. This is important to do.
ReplyDeleteDon't listen to the naysayers. Even if your efforts do amount to little, honor demands that the would be tyrants be given a change to back off.
ReplyDeleteI won't be there but I wish you well and I'll do what I can to spread the word.
"Participants and attendees are expected to know and abide by all applicable state and federal firearms laws."
ReplyDelete"Although the law does allow..." - If the law allows it, who is lawfully able to make "guidelines" which contradict the law?
Mags holding more than 20 rounds are not unlawful - see above comment. Pistols designed to accept a silencer are not unlawful, and as long as they do not in fact have a silencer attached ....
Virginia law is too vague; holding any firearm is not necessarily "brandishing", and the vague concept of "reasonably induce fear" is open to more than one interpretation. Point - anyone who is familiar with and used to carrying firearms would know whether "holding" is brandishing.
Watch members of the military, members of law enforcement. Under this concept, all of them could be charged with "brandishing". (Perhaps we can find a legal team willng to place such a charge against some "Only Ones"? )
Your attempt to organize this seems much like obeisance to the very laws we are attempting to have overturned as unconstitutional.
Hey if I must carry a club, why the Hell would I carry a club costing hundreds of dollars when I could just bring a tree limb and not have to wear it behind me "away from my hands"?
ReplyDeleteThat is not a rhetorical question. I would really like someone to explain it to me.
Might as well get to the real nub too, while I'm asking. How the Hell does it show a positive exercise of rights to ask permission to do so and agree to restrictions on that right or forfeit permission and therefore not exercise the right?
Sorry, I can't see it. You might not be wise to expect to see me. I am just too used to being free to engage in any kind of contract like this.
A march for Freedom, squashed by tyrannical restrictions.... I think I'll pass, and save for the real show. Because unless they change their ways, If I march on DC, it will be with loaded weapon and defined targets. And I will not march alone, but with millions of Patriots who've finally stood up and said "enough"....
ReplyDeleteFolks:
ReplyDeleteY'all are overthinking this stuff.
Those who don't agree with the demonstration, I understand and respect the perspective.
I do hope you will still try to get the word out, even if you will not be attending.
If somebody thinks it would be good tactics to go up to Leviathan, try to (I guess) irritate him while leaving him an easy way to squash you, and subsequently get squashed that day, you're welcome to stage that event.
We'll be happy -- for now-- with providing folks who will not disarm for the Second Amendment March that day with an opportunity to make a 4/19 statement while armed.
That's enough for that day.
Make sense?
It does not make sense. Carrying empty weapons is not "armed", sorry. Slinging them behind us, muzzle down, is not "armed". And following a bunch of moronic rules is not Freedom. Screw that. I'll wait for the real deal, because my faith in us "peons'" voices being heard is less than zero....
ReplyDeleteConcerned American,
ReplyDeleteI am admittedly a cynical bastard at this point in my life and at this moment in our nation's history but no, this does not make sense to me.
We as 3%ers are bemoaning the fact that the leviathan is overstepping its authority as proscribed by the Founding Documents. Then we are going to ask permission to "demonstrate"? What exactly are we demonstrating other than subservience to their over-reaching of power?
To me this is an exercise in masturbation. Waste of gasoline to get there. Waste of time to walk around waving signs and protesting. Waste of energy in general.
We all have been preaching to the choir for too long. Meaningful action would be to stop paying taxes. Massive civil dis-obedience. Sit down at some busy intersection en masse and refuse to leave. Make it a huge expense for the authorities to extract everyone who is not in compliance. All of these examples (and I would say there are far more things that more creative minds than myself could dream up) are actions that are non-violent, yet make a very clear statement of "WE DO NOT CONSENT!"
"WE WILL NOT OBEY!"
"WE ARE SICK OF THE LACK OF REPRESENTATION WE ARE BEING DEALT!"
Walking around with placards and guns (unloaded) is sadly laughable.
To everyone who criticizes this event, the Second Amendment March, or any others, saying things like "put up or shut up", I have this to say -- What are YOU doing? Sitting around waiting for the day that someone ELSE organizes a million people to invade Washington, armed to the hilt? Sitting behind your keyboards telling everyone else how things should be done? Put up or shut up? Isn't that just the pot calling the kettle black.
ReplyDeleteAt least the organizers of these events chose action over inaction. You may disagree with the method, but at the end of the day we are all for one thing -- preservation of freedom. You people are the reason why it is so difficult to organize like-minded patriots. You all have a pre-conceived notion of the way it HAS to be done, and every other way be damned.
Here's the thing -- what did the 912 rally do? Was there any overnight change of heart in our politicians? Was some collective epiphany by the millions of mindless sheep in our nation that opened their eyes to what is really going on in this nation? Of course not!
What the 912 rally did was encourage like-minded people. It made people realize that they are NOT alone in their way of thinking. They are NOT part of a minority as our mainstream media would have you believe. And now look where we are. Tea Party support has grown across the nation. Grass roots activism is springing up everywhere. The people are coming out and saying "We are here, and we want you to know it. This is what we stand for."
Now, if you still want to criticize people for not calling for violence and massive civil disobedience, then YOU do it!
Okay. Its pretty obvious that some of you didnt read all of it, or just skimmed it quickly so you could hurry up and rag on the idea.
ReplyDeleteThe long arms must be unloaded. But you can carry loaded mags.
Sidearms will be cocked, locked, and ready to rock.
So all of you that are making the "unloaded guns dont mean squat" argument havent properly armed themselves for this discussion.
Just tear it all down without being helpful. WTF have you done? At least we are making the attempt. So go ahead, sit on yer ass eatin' Cheetos while real men shake their guns in the tyrants face. If you wont do something now, I have trouble believing you will be of much use later.
GIII
This march really needs to be reconsidered on how it will be conducted. I agree with those who believe that this is pointless and a waste of time and resources. Why are you asking permission for a God given right??? You are going to have only one chance to get this right. There is too much riding on your efforts for this to turn into a dismal failure.
ReplyDeleteConstitutional rights do not include permission slips from the "authorities".

I am astonished at the negative comments here and I question the intention of those who made them.
ReplyDeleteFirst, this kind of rally has never been done before and is another step in the process.
Second, for all of you who think it will be ineffective, you have nothing to lose by showing up but some time. But if you are wrong, the more there the better.
Third, if you want a locked and loaded rally then organize one yourself. It's not that hard to do, but a little harder than just complaining like a bitter old woman.
Ed
Folks:
ReplyDeleteThe concept here is a peaceful rally, not a provocation that would lead to arrests, gunfire, and deaths.
For those who think there will be no excitement this day, think about how LE will be regarding each demonstrator carrying a longarm.
Can you say "potential hostile"?
How does LE generally treat potential hostiles?
But because we are within the letter of the law, they can't act on that SOP, can they?
Come join us and spend the day in the X ring, boys and girls.
Then you can gripe about the "pointlessness" of the exercise.
The restrictions are silly. Follow the letter of the law. If they're afraid of THAT that's there problem. If they draw down on you and YOU fear for your life, I'd say it's game time.
ReplyDeleteI think a bunch of folks should stand off with nothing but cameras and take pictures of those who show up to take pictures.
ReplyDeleteThat would give someone something to think about...
All or nothing people always amuse me.
ReplyDeleteThey can't have it all, so they'll get nothing.
Then call those who get something, "Cowards."
I guess their chains weigh too heavy on them.
Boy, they sure SOUND impressive, though, heaping scorn on those only have SOMETHING.
This event has little to gain. No one in government is going to listen, take heed, nor anything else approaching honest consideration.
ReplyDeleteThis event has much to lose. Govt is looking for reasons to come down on people harder, and this event would give them such a reason, at least in their minds.
It's not about ideaology. It's about reality, and here is reality: You're demonstrating against actions of a criminal syndicate, otherwise known as the federal government. You're dealing with white-collar criminal gangsters acting through color of law. They have no sense of right, justice, nor anything of the sort.
Essentially you're demonstrating against the mob.
What sort of influence or impact do you possibly believe you'll have on them?
Are the organizers operating under the assumption that a peaceful transition to a pro-Constitution government (just saying that makes me want to puke) is possible, or do they believe that large-scale armed conflict is inevitable and perhaps near at hand?
ReplyDeleteWhat do the organizers hope to achieve with this event?
What are the possible immediate outcomes of this rally, and what longer-term effects might they have?

I also have mixed feelings about this demonstration.
ReplyDeleteI don't think the demonstration is aimed at changing the government, but is aimed at other like minded or on-the-fence people who would rather be a citizen than a subject. It is for them, not the vicious clowns at the ATF who have a hard time classifying a pistol-gripped shotgun or wiping their boots on cats. It is not for the FBI employees thrilled to be collecting overtime pay so safely. Demonstrate for your neighbors that normal citizens (well, for some of us here) can be pro Bill of Rights. The feds that will be taking pictures of demonstrators are more interested in reaping federal benefits than killing. If I do go, along with my pistol and rifle and mags for both, I'll be sweating under a IIIA (hmm, that's an interesting coincidence)and face gator in camo. Is it perfect? No. Is it better than doing nothing? Hell yes. And for those excusing themselves for the lack of open warfare, a lack of loaded rifles or whatever excuse they need to remain tranquilly sitting in their easy chairs, rather "than the animating contest of freedom, — go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!” Don't look for us on the news, just continue your fantasy on your PS3.
This is an important event, and I am seriously considering attending, even with the modifications to the law.
ReplyDeleteWhat some of you fail to recognize is that not everything in this world is black and white. Doing something is better than doing nothing. And no, spouting crap like, "Put up or shut up!" on the Internet is not doing something.
If you don't think it's enough, I can respect that. I can even agree with it. But the fact that somebody is doing something, even if it falls short of the ultimate goal, gets my respect. Calling someone a coward while proposing no better alternative, gets none.
So, Concerned American, rock on with this gathering. I hope to be there in body, but if not, I will be there in spirit.
Molon Labe
Looks like I'll be spending the month in D.C. then. I'm looking forward to the Second Amendment march and Rally.
ReplyDeleteThanks to the WRSA for doing this!
Seems to me a lot of people need to read (or re-read) Unintended Consequenses.

What happens if an agent provocateur starts shooting at the inevitable cops?
ReplyDeleteWhat happens if a third party, say some off-duty ACORN stormtroopers, decide to do a drive-by or whatever it is that passes for an induction into "manhood" in their circles?
Seems like there ought to be folks guarding the perimeter against incursion by obvious troublemakers, but what's the response in a false flag situation?
Will fellow patriots from Major Hasan's local mosque be allowed at the event? Everyone's wearing their bulky IIIA's, and so's Mohammed over there.
What happens if an inadequately bathed throng of vegan hippies with water guns arrive to get in people's face?
I am not at all against the rally. Just trying to understand if there's a plan of action for things beyond the mundane, from counter-protesters on up.

"Participants and attendees are required to keep all rifles/shotguns slung over their shoulder, muzzle-down, unloaded, with the safety on, and with no magazine inserted."
ReplyDeleteThis rule stupifies me...
Not one of MY shotguns OR my rifles "safeties" will engage unless they are COCKED!
So, it's ok that they are cocked then, as long as they are not loaded? As in how can I have an open chamber, as in bolt back with the safety one?
Someone needs an education in firearms!!!
Bill:
ReplyDeleteYour point is?
Nowhere did the rules say "all longarms must be uncocked".
Check your reading comprehension skills, mate.
Not to be pedantic, Bill in Phoenix, but you can cock on an empty chamber and engage the safety, no?
ReplyDeleteI really don't understand where anyone gets off telling others HOW to carry a rifle (unloaded) on public land. If it's legal, carry how you want. What's next, are you gonna (try to) regulate what color shirt we wear? What WILL you do if someone shows up and refuses your *request* that the rifle be unloaded?
ReplyDeleteDude:
ReplyDeleteTake a deep breath.
Do you actually plan to be there?
If so, do you agree that common decency requires one to at least consider why folks would ask a certain type of weapons display?
Gosh. All you manly men. And while you are supporting the 2nd Amendment, will you support the 1st?
ReplyDeleteYou guys are a bunch of nuts. The day fascism comes to American, it will come from the bottom, from people who think that being American is only thinking like them. We did not take our guns out when Bush lead/lied us into a pre-emptive war that killed hundreds of thousands. Bus you are taking your guns because Obama has signed healthcare that will save millions? GET REAL already!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are the proof that when fascism comes to America it will come from the bottom. What a bunch of dangerous lunatics you make.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if folks on the other side are using talking points?
ReplyDelete:-)
Gentlemen,
ReplyDeleteHold your rally, but realize who and what you're dealing with and the inherent realities. We are rapidly approaching open hostilities in this Nation. There is NO GOODNESS or CHARACTER left in this government, nor in those thugs whom serve it willingly. Pray for the wisdom of the Almighty.....and be damned sure you post your own perimeter security AT THE READY. Be sure to kiss your loved ones before you leave to attend.
Courage and bravery to you all.
SSG
Don't you know that this is what they WANT YOU TO DO??
ReplyDeleteThey are hoping for an uprising so they can call in the foreign troops that are already here, armed & waiting orders, and declare martial law.
Save your gas and bail money. Find some paid help.
As for me I am not going to look for trouble in the hopes of "just" making a statement.
The web bot has forecast your coming and your ending. Don't be foolish. Pray & wait on YHVH.
Wilco, SSG.
ReplyDeleteWRSA,
ReplyDeleteGentleman, I fear for this nation, I commend you for the need to do SOMETHING! To let your voices be heard as we watch our very Constitution trampled and discarded
as if it means nothing. It is a sickening thing to witness.
Our President John Kennedy warned us of a monolithic, ruthless, secret society that has infiltrated, corrupted our Government, and control every aspect of our lives. This didn't happen overnight. It took many years, decades to get to this point. Search deep and you will find the evidence, the truth.
Our President gave his life standing up to these sociopathic muderers. He was our last REAL President.
They have no conscience like you or
I, and they worship the LAWLESS ONE, the MASTER DECEIVER. This is a
spiritual war we are engaged in.
Please do NOTHING that they can turn around and manipulate to demonize you, make you the "Bad"
guy, the "Terrorist" This is what they want. My prayers are with all
that attend this event.
While I understand that some feel a demonstration like this is pointless if all laws are being diligently followed, Im thrilled to see ppl taking the first steps of standing up against a ever-more tyrannical government. The colonists didn't decide one day to just start shooting at the British. The shooting war was the final culmination of many tyrannical acts and repeated ignoring of grievances by the King. Rallies like this are the first steps, not the last ones.
ReplyDeleteFor those not familiar with Ft Hunt Park, a few things to keep in mind.
1. One way in and one way out. It is a relatively small park and is only in/out by vehicle is through one gate.
2. There is a US Park Police barracks on site and they are very active in the park. They will probably be what you encounter first.
3. PLEASE be mindful that there are residential neighborhoods just outside the borders of the park. I honestly do not see any shooting coming from this (nor do I wish any) but if anything does happen, remember there are a lot of innocents within easy range of your weapons.
Good luck to all and thank you for attending.
I'll be there, sidearm, and rifle, with ammo at my side. I'll also be there with 25 of my friends.
ReplyDeleteYou protested concealed carry and you got the Brady bill. After massive tea partys you got O'Obamacare. I shudder to think what horrors you are going to heap on us. You not only tell them you submit to unconstitutional laws but have gone them one better. Please do not usurp the name of us American patriots. You do not represent us. WE DO NOT SUBMIT. If you cannot stand and be counted, sit down and shut up. There will come a time to put up or shut up. Till then no more appeasement, please.
ReplyDeleteWildman:
ReplyDeletePlease clarify your comment. To whom are you speaking-the attendees or the naysayers?
Both actually. Talk is cheap. I'm not recommending people sstart shooting, but either stand up for your rights or realize they're gone.
ReplyDeleteWildman:
ReplyDeleteSo will you be there,or is your comment just a drive-by?
I'm so jealous! I'm oringinally from the beautiful state of Va., currently living in the most corrupt state of Illinois. The event ya'll are hosting would not even think of taking place in this state. So enjoy the day and shoot a few rounds for me! I only wish I could be there! Boo Ewald Taylor
ReplyDeleteIt had struck me as odd, to find a newspaper cartoon doing strips on gun possession lately. And another cartoon represents a gun owner in a pose of utter hypocrisy. This morning, before I came across this site, my local paper reported on raids against several militia units. To see that there is a rally to make the point that gun ownership is legal, but must surrender to 'guidelines' strikes me as very peculiar. I am ready to hit the trenches if necessary, but a cold chill hits me that the words of Bill Cooper are beginning to surface. Something is up, and we are being played. I think I'll pass on this, and I'll be making different plans for Thanksgiving. I suggest many of you consider that idea as well. Cooper gave the warning.
ReplyDeleteYou're still missing the point here. One wrong doesn't make a right. There's always a right thing to do. I never subscribed to the policy "Do something even if it's wrong." If you're not going to do it right it's wasted time and effort. It's not in passing but as things stand I won't be there. Satisfied? When you say what you mean and mean what you say, then I'll give my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor.
ReplyDeletelet me see i still have 5 guns and two bows,Oh yes and I voted for Obama
ReplyDeletevet 65/69 still know how to use them too
To those who insist on just ripping up folks who are willing to be seen and heard...nobody really cares what you think. Stay home, hide and continue to be be irrelevant. We'll take care of business for you, as usual.
ReplyDeleteI truly appreciate the level of patriotism that you 3 %ers are displaying with the concept of this march and I understand what your reasoning is behind doing this.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I would like to point out that I believe you guys are being played like a fiddle. This is exactly what the controllers want to have happen. Notice how they are demonizing "right-wingers" "tea-party" etc. in the MSM right now...and its excellerating at a fevor pitch.
A great example would be the Hutaree militia that has now been found out that a FBI provocature was the reason behind their targeting police officers. Who's to say there won't be a provocature in your midst? Do you honestly think you can control the situation once the first bullet is fired?
And, regardless of how you guys beleive and abide by the Constitution and The Bill of Rights, the controllers do not, and will continue to abuse those documents. How many violations against those documents have occured during the Bush Admin. and now Obama's has accelerated the pace that its almost impossible to keep track of all these gross violations from one week to the next.
The controls WANT marshal law, and even if the event goes smoothly they will use it as a massive propaganda tool to feed to the sheeple that there is now a dangerous "right wing" "tea-party" "chrisian extremist" etc. movement that they should be terribly afraid of to further drive a rift between the right and the left and bury I civil liberties further under the ground.
There is no Republican party, there is no Democratic party....they are both the enemy, and what you are providing them is a tool. Another tool to further enslave us.
You have to realize that the most powerful thing to bring down this empire is community. Realize that the agenda beginning in the 50's and the formation of the CIA has been to slowly erode that sense of community, to make Americans feel individualistic without the need for community, to drive us apart....divide and conquor. We should not be demonizing the liberal sheep but trying to show them how they are being manipulated.
One of the gratest tragedies of mankind was the fall of the Alexandria library. the point in time when everyone spoke the same language, and the masses were able to communicate. After that happened, the masses had no means of communicating with each other, enabling the controllers to brain wash individual communities of people without the outside influence of other communities of people that have the same desire for liberty and freedom just like us. How much easier was it to kill someone that you can't communicate with and therfore cannot empathize with? That it was is happening in modern day America but instead of language being the barrier its a core belief system that has been provided to you from the very people that are enslaving US as a whole.
Violence, begets violence...and since time immorial, violence has never onced solved the plight of the average human being. We are therfore enslaving ourselves through manipulation, and this march could quite possibly be another tool for the controllers to use against us.
Yes, we 3%er's need to look at all possiblities, but remember that through the Constitution and the Bill of Rights we are given a format to follow ( We the People ) to hold and to control our Union !
ReplyDelete1. Vote, which doesn't work any more, one word ACORN
2. Free speech, but not too loud someone may be listening
3. 9th and 10th amendements which will take years to get through the courts ( as it was designed )
4. Which brings us to the 2nd amendement, and for this reason we need to march so all understand WE the PEOPLE will never give up our Constitution to anyone with the Gov'ment.
So go to the march, represent the Constitution and WE the PEOPLE, wear you work clothing ( if you wear a 3 piece suit wear it, if you are electrian wear your atire, this way we look like professionals, not red-necks which the gov'ment will report ). Remember we will restore the Constitution at all cost !

"go in strength"
M4 and 1911 are ready to go, and I will be wearing my Second Chance Level IIIA vest under my old flight suit and LBE. Not sure this rally is going to make much difference to TPTB, but it should be a fun time for comradeship. I suspect everything will be peaceful, but "IF" something does start, my mags will be loaded with SS109/M855 for soft armor and 75gr H.P. for everything else.
ReplyDeleteTickets, hotel, and everything ready but the packing. See you guys there.
TH
Here's my question...you want to protest under "their" rules, yet how many of you protesters paid your taxes this year?
ReplyDeleteYou fund and give willingly to the beast you wish to destroy. Doesn't make sense to me. If you want to stand up and fight, don't play by their rules. Period. Be free. Live Free, and die free.
I have not Paid tax to the Feds in the last 3 years !!!! Never will
ReplyDelete"9th and 10th AMENDMENTS"
;-)
As much as I would like to join you, I'm just to far away.
ReplyDeleteI pray you are able to achieve your goal and if not then this sparks the flames of true REVOLUTION.
Remember the goal here --
ReplyDeleteThe Founders created a government of limited Federal authority.
The document which created that limited Federal government is the Constitution and Bill of Rights.
That set of rules, as written, remains in effect in this country.
We insist on its Restoration.
Restoration of Constitutional supremacy, as written, for all three branches of Federal government.
That's the goal, and that's the mission of the RTC rally on 4/19.
Having read all of the comments posted, I'm not sure "what" to make of all of this or "whom" to trust for that matter. I agree that this demonstration is a good idea, but I also agree with those who say the "rules" part is ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteI'm not really sure there is a definitive "enemy" here. I was a cop once, I enforced the law as written, that was the job I was paid to do. I can't see myself shooting at uniforms that think they are doing the job they are paid to do. The lack of a clear enemy or opposition here is a bit disconcerting.
I don't agree with the policies of this or most of the recent past administrations, no matter what party was in charge. "Freedom" is just that....one step this side of anarchy. Take care of yourself and family and friends. Fend for yourself....gov paves the roads and watches the borders. I am responsible for my affairs. I'm not sure that this will have much effect, but I would probably attend if I didn't live on the other side of the country.
All that being said, I don't know if all you folks attending have the same motives and intentions, good or bad, but I wish you nothing but good health and success.
I don't know if you guys will get whatever it is you wish to get from this demonstration, but I'm with you in spirit!
I guess what I mean is, I'm a pretty good sargeant, but this seems to be a bit above my pay grade. Somebody tell me who it is or what group it is we're supposed to shoot and I'm there, if warranted. Same as when I was in the military, but there are so many crooks in govt and the mess is so convoluted, how do you know who or what is right or wrong. Hell, based upon the U.S. Constitution, most all of the a-holes in gov should be in jail. IMHO...
Guess I'll just wait, watch and keep my powder dry. Like they say....you fight for the man next to you, you shoot the guy who shoots at you and at the end of the day...make it home to hold your wife and kids.
Thanks for what you're all trying to do.....I wish you well and Godspeed
Y'all, I would love to be there but I'm out of the country and can't make it back. I wish y'all the best and hope that it gets the balling rolling in a positive direction.
ReplyDeleteNeither the divisive rhetoric nor invoking the ghost of Lexington is helping out. With regard to the latter, remember that it wasn't just the British showing up one day and deciding to confiscate weapons. There were many, many years of tension and protesting leading up to that point.
Furthermore, the colonists on Lexington green got beaten. Yes, they did, they got shot up and had to retreat. That very thing could happen on the 19th at this rally. The point, though, is not that the colonists won or lost that engagement, nor that it was perfectly conceived or fit into some narrow box of rhetoric or ideology. Rather, it spurred more and more people on to resisting and doing what's right. The redcoats won at Lexington but they got chewed up badly at Concord later in the day, after more people heard the news and joined the colonists. Same principle here. Let your actions, successful or not, serve as a good example.
Godspeed, gents, and stand tall.
PLEASE NOTE AN ABSOLUTELY CRITICAL DISTINCTION:
ReplyDeleteIn Lexington '75, the British regulars were dispatched to seize arms, ammo, and other materiel.
In Northern Virginia on 4/19/2010, THERE IS NO SUCH GOVERNMENT ACTION.
We are having a legal, permitted, peceful rally to exercise our First and Second Amendment rights concurrently.
We will have a peaceful rally.
Hope to see you there.
I don't have a long gun to go with my sidearm, but I do have a spent AT-4 I'd like to bring.
ReplyDeleteWow. You guys with guns are really on a power trip. That's some serious crazy talk...it's clear just how badly you want the shooting to start.
ReplyDeleteThen what? You get to play survivalist GI Joe and live out all your post-apocalyptic fantasies wherein you're the true rugged North American MAN.
Then what?
Because you don't really care about the United States of America. You're no different than Osama's gang. NO DIFFERENT. Guys with gun hard-ons and a "brotherhood" to sustain all your egos' darkest needs.
You all are HOPING someone goes Kent State on you so you can usher in your Mortal Combat fantasy worlds.
And it totally pisses me off that you feel free to take away my right to be governed by the people I helped to elect. You wrap your conspiracy theories so tightly around your brains that you can't see Truth...you refuse to see Truth, because Truth won't allow you to play out your sex-power-violence soaked visions. Write this off as the words of one of the "sheep." Go to bed. Get up on the 19th. Start an armed insurrection. Lose. Suffer. Die a martyr believing those who come after you aren't laughing at your stupidity, seeing you for the foolish dead person you are, just like an Islamic jihadist suicide bomber. Yeah...they got a cause, too, that they think is just. What crazy sickness drives men like you and the jihadists? What is it???
It's now 4/19 and I haven't heard a peep about this on the news. Is there anybody out there?? Did the media even show up? I would think that I would have heard something by now... It is 11:00am on the left coast and nothing...
