They Called the Chinese 'Communists'?

Kudos to Bloomberg for their candor in this story re last week's celebration of the 60th anniversary of Communist victory in China:

China’s Communists Mark 60 Years in Power With Parade

Oct. 1 (Bloomberg) The People’s Republic of China celebrates its 60th anniversary today by staging a military parade through the heart of Beijing to demonstrate the country’s rising global influence.

Hundreds of missiles and tanks and thousands of troops from the world’s largest standing army will parade past Tiananmen -- the Gate of Heavenly Peace -- where Mao Zedong on Oct. 1, 1949, declared the Communist Party’s victory in a civil war and took the reins of government.

China now produces in a day the equivalent of a year’s output five decades ago, and is poised to surpass Japan as the world’s second-largest economy by 2010. The Communists, who lifted 300 million citizens from abject poverty and raised the country’s international influence, must now satisfy increasing demands for domestic freedom and accountability...

Funny thing, though.

There are no pictures or text anywhere about any of the more than 76 million human beings that the filthy Communist bastards have murdered since Mao and his thugs took power in 1949.

The apparatchiki must have just forgotten about them in all of the anniversary hub-bub.

I'm sure Xinhua will issue a correction soon.

Maybe Tax-Cheat Timmy will remind the PRC of their omission during one of his many discussions with senior Chinese leadership.
