Armed Revolution Part I: Are You In or Out?
Armed Revolution Part II: Setting Brush Fires
Armed Revolution Part III: “Taking out the Comms”
Consider David's words:
Author Mark Epstein speculates on potentials. While no one can predict with certainty the way specific actions and events might unfold, I can think of less likely things that could happen.
Like surrendering all without a fight.
Remember your Churchill:
Still, if you will not fight for the right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than live as slaves.
The hour draws near.

ReplyDeleteThat French Revolution bloodbath fantasy is sociopathic and genocidal. What's the first thing it does? Goes even more totalitarian than the regime it displaces.
Not always so Anon 628AM.
ReplyDeleteBut if so, I am quite ready to see my group in power to restore the Republic.
I think we are very close to eruption.

I wholeheartedly concur. Its to bad that folks can get so caught up in the passion for freedom that they can't see tyranny when slaps them in the face. What happened to "Freedom of Speech" in this guys world?

Epstein starts with the premise of an armed revolt.
ReplyDeleteI see absolutely no evidence that that is anywhere near.
Yes, people are buying lots of guns. But the widespread organized will to turn them on the government - and face the consequences - simply does not exist. Yelling at a politician in a town hall meeting is one thing; it's when those town hall meetings turn into attempted lynchings and the politician has to be evacuated in a hurry, possibly with his guards laying down suppressive fire, that an armed revolt has reached the point of being likely. And even then it's not certain.
This isn't Ceaucescu's Romania yet.
We're a long way from that flashpoint. I figure something like two more years of economic disaster have to go by first, which puts us well past his "America isn't even going to make it to the 2010 midterms".
I should also add that his proposed timeline and outcome is completely farcical wishful thinking.
ReplyDeleteThe coming war is not going to be one of good brave Americans vs evil commie government. It will be a war of all against all. It will be a war of white nationalists vs Nahuatl/Aztec gangs vs Crips/Bloods black gangs vs Oriental mercantilism vs right-liberals like you and Vanderboegh trying to restore the constitution without restoring the demographics vs UN one-worldism vs the remaining patriots/law enforcement/authoritarians obeying the government in DC and probably several more sides I haven't thought of.
It is certainly not going to be over in a year with all his personal enemies outlawed or dead at the end.
Most people will just try to keep their heads down and soothe troubled waters. I don't expect them to succeed at that, though it'd be nice if they did.
Yeah, this is NOT a prelude to war:

Epstein's jerking himself off. That's all.
I think people are getting confused between what Mark WANTS to happen and what WILL happen.
ReplyDeleteAll Freedom-Loving Patriots please read, "Unintended Consequences" by John Ross. Contemplate your access and abilities and how you might contribute to the cause. Then contribute. Effect Operation Consequence. Like Chairman Obama says, "The time has passed for debate. It is time to act."
