The Insufferable Arrogance of Your Employees

Watch this video as posted at Instapundit earlier today.

Read the associated stories at the link.

Listen to HHS Secretary Sebelius and Senator Arlen Specter try to mollify the crowd into accepting the latest wave of AmSoc ("American Socialism").

Consider as well the likely end-state utility of this facially-admirable effort.

Conventional politics, the universal franchise, and your fellow Americans got the former Republic to where it is today.

Tell me, please -- rationally and logically -- why you believe that more of the same will not yield more of the same.

And while you're at it, explain why civil war -- both citizen-on-citizen and citizen vs. government -- is not inevitable in the near future.

Let's win.

  1. The natives are getting restless.....

Are they really waking up (a la an exaggerated Mark Twain-esque early demise), or too little too late?

    We'll see.

FWIW, my panty waist congresscritter is hiding during the break and has NO meetings scheduled. His schedule is "full" according to his office. Hmm.

  2. At the end of his program today, Glen Beck told us that he vehemently opposes any type of political (or otherwise) violence. He spoke out to the viewers to be totally and fully against any type of violence toward toward the tyrannical powers of this country. He went on to explain how it could never and would never help our cause. And that it would kill any progress that has been made. He even went on to use the colonists actions as an example, saying that they tried peaceful means for over 20 years before our Founders resorted to violence. He even lumped in the actions of Timothy McVeigh.

I lost a great deal of respect for Beck and his thought process today.

How many years does he think this oppression has continued and will continue? Does he think that tea parties and town hall meetings will fix everything? I just learned yesterday that federal income tax was promised to never rise above 7%, at it's inception. What a joke.

  3. Perhaps Glenn Beck doesn't realize that if it would've been up to the majority of the colonist's, we would still probably be under British rule?!
I have myself lost some respect for Glenn Beck, but will continue to listen to his show, because he does give us news we would never hear on the alphabet news channels.
He stands for the 2nd amendment, which puzzles me why he would be so adamant about no violent revolution. What the hell does he think the 2nd amendment is all about? Tyrants don't listen to the masses. You are nothing more than a cog in a socialist/communist machine, and when they're through with you, they get rid of you and replace you with another.
Tyrants need a shot in the ass to make 'em realize they're only mortals themselves, and their rule won't last forever. Especially if the people get really pissed.

  4. The only argument I would make is your statement of revolt being in the "near" future. Inevitable in THE future, yes; near, maybe. For far too long citizens have stood idly by.As I commented HERE:
In your original post you alluded to the 77 that died in Texas, no rally was made amongst the general population. I fear our numbers needed today would be in the tens of thousands to rally that fire. But in order to make the stand we would be trated as the isolationist, terrorists zealots the press would kill to create. By making the stand required to lead a nation, we are being forced to move to the fringe of that nation.

Civil war I believe is a ways out there due, to the inability of most people to act, hell research before voting seems like a chore to many in this country. Those that do act would be INSTANTly cast as fringe, rabble rousing terrorists, giving justification to greater oppression in the general populations eyes. I do not believe they will kill and/or die in defense of Liberty. We shall see. Thanks for another thought provoking post.
