Found in an archive on the new Oleg Volk forum site, this list of citations will provide our side's legal beagles with a first sniff in researching how to thwart the Obamites' upcoming use of these existing statutes.
Yes, Virginia, many local and state governments will join their Federal masters in coming after freedom-loving Americans in the coming turmoil.
Allegations re violations of these statutes will be very useful in getting gun-grabbing state magistrates to authorize search/seizure warrants for not only guns, optics, and ammo, but also, in whatever format found:
- computers,
- computer media,
- books,
- pamphlets,
- magazines,
- posters,
- movies,
- videos,
- flags,
- patches,
- photographs,
- correspondence (including but not limited to email), and
- any other evidence, in whatever format found, tending to prove the commission of said offenses, attempted commission of said offenses, conspiracy to commit said offenses, and any lesser included offenses.
And please - don't anyone be so naive as to suggest that freedom of speech and freedom of association are enumerated rights protected by the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights of the United States Constitution, as well as the analogues to those rights under the several states' constitutions.
Don't you know that individuals or groups who believe that the Second Amendment was designed to deter and, if necessary, defeat oppressive government are "subversive or quasi-subversive entities...that ha[ve] denounced the United States of America"?
If that's what our pragmatic (former) friends call us, just imagine how we will be portrayed by the OpFor.
Alea iacta est.
The one thing folks have to take into account on all these laws and all the states that have these laws.
ReplyDeleteEvery single one of them is repugnant to the Constitution, specifically, the Second Amendment, because they disallow the execution of the 'militia' to become 'well-regulated' (trained). And, being so repugnant, are no laws at all. They have no force, and there is no duty to obey.
"Certainly all those who have framed written constitutions contemplate them as forming the fundamental and paramount law of the nation, and consequently the theory of every such government must be, that an act of the legislature, repugnant to the constitution, is void." Chief Justice Marshall, Marbury v. Madison Feb, 1803
Something else...look at the numbers.
Sure, if everyone sits on their behinds and does nothing when the various groups start being harassed by the alphabet soup group, the III's will be taken down. BUT, if the III's say "ENOUGH" and take action, it will be a MUCH different story...

I sent this to me email list with this comment:
ReplyDeleteFolks,
My good friend Peter at Western Rifle Shooters Association reminds us of one way the new regime and it state and local toadies might come at us -- the Three Percent -- in the upcoming days. I would suggest that if you are in one of these states, that you examine your law for wrinkles such as a list of exempted organizations. Alabama's law has just such a list. It could be that you may wish to organize under the banner of a fraternal organization. Let them try and prosecute the Patriarchs Militant, for example.
Or,simply divide your training classes and FTXs to make it difficult for anyone to prove intent. What are they going to do? Prosecute anyone who practices long-range marksmanship? Arrest hiking groups in the national forests? Criminalize paintballers? Of course, they may get to that, but don't make it easy for them now. Also, avoid proclamations, PR events, press releases. Organize friends and neighbors.
Be careful about unit names. Take the "Sipsey Street Irregulars," an obvious play on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Baker Street Irregulars, a mob of street urchins who assisted Sherlock Holmes. What is a "Sipsey Street Irregular," Mr. United States Prosecutor? As one of that extremely loose-knit group's founding members, I can tell you we have no by-laws, no membership lists and no charter. We are certainly a fraternal organization, a band of brothers you might say. We are also a discussion group -- A bunch of guys who get together periodically for coffee and camaraderie. We might be more than that. I'd say it depends upon what time of day it is. Hard to pin down, wot? A bit more innocuous and legally fuzzy than the "Seventh 'Death to the Dog-killers of the ATF' Division of Kansas Mechanized Militia Infantry, Major General Bradley Glover commanding," wouldn't you say?
In any case, forewarned is forearmed. If you don't sleep through the alarm clock.

I got a thrill when I saw my flag design here! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteIt is off-topic, but what does "Alea iacta est" mean? I tried to find it with a Latin translator, and it came back with something about bragging about a game of dice.
ReplyDeleteI understand the position of the Appleseed program. They have been threatened, and this statement is their concession.
ReplyDeleteThe work continues. Dozens/hundreds of Americans who would not otherwise have any knowledge of military-style weapons/tactics have been at least remedially trained to shoot. These people are more likely to read WRSA and see the bigger picture.
Better that people be armed and trained with lip-service to the powers-that-be than unarmed/untrained knowing nothing.
After the balloon goes up is no time to get some quick training.
black jack: I don't disagree with your position. People have to pick their own time and place to fight, preferably one that they can win. -cheers
Alea iacta est:
ReplyDeleteAlea iacta est (also seen as alea jacta est) is Latin for "The die is cast". Actually quoted by Suetonius as iacta alea est [ˈjakta ˈaːlɛa ɛst], it is what Julius Caesar is reported to have said on January 10, 49 BC as he led his army across the River Rubicon in northern Italy. With this step, he entered Italy at the head of his army in defiance of the Roman Senate and began his long civil war against Pompey and the Optimates.
Meaning and form
The phrase is rarely used today to mean that events have passed a point of no return, that something inevitable will happen, i.e., he cannot take back what he has done, much like the gambler who has already thrown the dice.
used here in the "events have passed a point of no return" sense, not the Caesarean sense.

ReplyDeleteBoth courage and cowardice are habit-forming.
Here's the right way to respond to a governmental threat:
Codrea and Courage
In contrast, licking the master's boot and mouthing anti-subversive pieties (even if done duplicitly) speaks for itself.
The country was founded by radicals and subversives who believed in God-given rights, spoke out, armed, trained publicly, and, when no other honorable path stood before them, shot the King's men - repeatedly, well and true.
Those radicals and subversives were all British citizens, shooting their own King's men, risking all to kill and maim enough representatives of the world's most powerful economic and military empire to make the King leave them alone.
That's the American tradition -- not some mealy-mouthed quasi-mythology of Patriots versus Redcoats.
Black Jack I could not have said it better.
