OK, some in the Grand Ol Party haven't caught on to what happened this last election cycle or just don't care. I'll wait till January and see which way the wind blows. There is a lot of fresh blood going to D.C. and a lot more scheduled for 2012.

That the Repubs took a nap and a powder on reform, this is a surprise? Not so much. What did anyone think these piss-ants would do, considering their all-to-well-known record? The Stupid Party remains stupid, the Evil Party remains evil, what have we got to talk about? This is like picking over long-dead, wet ashes in the woods.

I still prefer the Taiwanese legislative approach, where if someone is your political enemy he's REALLY your enemy and you go punch him in the head or throw a chair at him. This obviously scripted vilification and reconciliation seesaw makes me nauseous. Before the election, the Republicans "can go along for the ride, but they'll have to sit in the back." Now, Barry says "I wish I had reached out much earlier."
And the Republicans shake hands with him and smile broadly. Smugness of the new majority, or the grip-and-grin of fraternity boys putting on a skit?

The Senate GOP except for a rare few is nothing but Jackasses-in-elephant-suits. We'll have to see what they House GOP is. Unless civil war starts before they take office.
